If you would like to have a thicker, grippier and softer steering wheel, then an upholstering is recommendable.

Therefore a 1,5 or 2mm thick rubber layer is glued under the normal leather or Alcantara® layer.
We also point out that it is not recommended to upholster a steering wheel with a sporty shape. This makes the sporty shape indistinct and the steering wheel altogether too thick.
NOVELTY If you want a sporty steering wheel in combination with a thickening, we can, as an alternative to the upholstery, recommend the modification M7, in which the steering wheel is only thickened on the inside, so that the steering wheel gets grippier, but not larger overall.
